Universe Salsa
At Bababa International we consider the salsa the condiment of the future. Accessible, adaptable, mutably transnational and enigmatic, the salsa is a desirable accompaniment to uncertain times.
At Bababa International we are interested in both the salsas of tradition - invented by the snowballing intelligence of culture and perfected again and again by the lived-genius of individuals - and the salsas that are yet to be invented.
For example, we imagine salsas that are 4 trillion kelvins hot; a salsa that is 250,000 times hotter than the core of our sun. That's the kind of heat that current science thinks existed at the beginning of the universe. The relatively brief interval following the Big Bang when matter was a slop of quark-gloun plasma.
This salsa will appear like a culinary eternal-return, a fiery promise that appears at the end and which simultaneously marks the next beginning. It will be enjoyed in the company of foods that we cannot yet imagine.
